Benjamin Francis Leftwich, born on September 4, 1989, is an English acoustic folk pop singer-songwriter hailing from York. Leftwich grew up listening to influential artists such as The Rolling Stones and Nina Simone. Later, he discovered the works of Nick Drake, Bob Dylan, and Elliott Smith. Leftwich draws inspiration from a diverse range of artists, including Cher, Arcade Fire, Ryan Adams, and Bruce Springsteen.

In 2011, Leftwich released his debut album, "Last Smoke Before the Snowstorm," produced by Ian Grimble.
